"Love for All, Hatred for None"

Under the auspices of Inter Faith Harmony Foundation of India an Inter Faith Meet was organized today in India International Centre in which Dharmacharya Shantum Seth, Professor Ved Ram Vedarthi and Sadhvi Samni Malli Praggya while representing Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism spoke on the Concept of Peaceful Co-Existence in their respective faiths.

They were of the view that though Founders of all religions and their respective Holy scriptures teach humanity the same fundamental human values then what keeps this all round restlessness going and sustaining? The unanimous answer was that somewhere religious leadership belonging to all faiths has failed to deliver in inculcating this universal sentiment into the minds, souls and spirits of their followers

Chief worlds Nirankari Mission Satguru Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj while giving his blessings to this initiative called for respecting all the religious entities and consider them to be the flowers of the same garland.

Syed Sultan Shah Baba, a practicing Sufi from South India said that this is high time for the humanity to revert towards the fundamentals of Sufism which focuses on, "If you love the Creator then love His Creation".

Dr. Karan Singh who delivered the inaugural address lauded the initiative of the Foundation to promote dialogue on so important a subject. He said that the humanity is crying for peace and it can be brought about by strengthening the inherent spiritual bindings among the human souls.

Shri Inder Kumar Gujral, Former Prime Minster of India while releasing the book, "I, An Indian Muslim" authored by Dr. Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed, Founder President Inter Faith Harmony Foundation of India said that this book shall help all those quarters who are genuinely interested in understanding and analyzing the current wave of sentiment among the Muslims of India.

The author has not only objectively criticized the community, its leadership and those in governance and public life but has also put a mechanism to resolve issues within and outside the community. I may not agree with many of his views but I do appreciate his boldness and candidness.

Dr. Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed while welcoming the Guests of Honour and the audience expressed his commitment to promote virtues of universal peace, tolerance and harmony by promoting dialogue in between the religious leaders and spiritual masters belonging to all faiths. He plans to set up a Harmony Compound in 300 acres of land in which places of worship of Baha'I Faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism and Zoroastrianism will be built at suitable distances with a common entry. It is a dream project but the Foundation will wholeheartedly work to realize this noble goal.

The Programme ended at 2PM and was followed by lunch. A very respectable and selective audience representing the cross sections of society joined the proceedings.

The third and the last conference of the series is scheduled for August 20, 2006 at the same venue
